Description

Beckman Coulter is recruiting for a Complaint Handling Unit Supervisor. The position will be based in Indianapolis, IN.
The Complaint Handling Unit Supervisor will supervise the day-to-day operations of the Complaint Handling Unit in Indianapolis.
This team is responsible for the incoming review, acceptance, assignment, investigation, documentation, review, closure, trending, and reporting of complaints for the Life Sciences Automation, Life Sciences Tools, Centrifugation, Particle Counting, and Genomics product lines. The team consists of 12 direct reports.
Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring metrics are established, tracked, reviewed, and presented to management; communicating with managers/ supervisors of other Complaint Handling Units; 
  • Ensuring on-time filing of any required regulatory reports due to complaint investigations;
  • Always looking for process improvements both in compliance and efficiency;
  • Escalating complaints for potential CAPAs, Field Actions, Stop Shipments, etc.;
  • Monthly trending and auditing of complaints and supervising associates to allow them to perform at their best ability and develop into future roles.  

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; with preference for a degree in the sciences, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3  years of complaint handling, CAPA, or other root cause investigation experience in medical devices or other regulated industry
  • Previous experience in or ability to supervise others to help them reach their potential
