Position Summary:

The Commercial Product Manager – OEM will be responsible for the growth and support of our Antibody OEM business.  They will be responsible for managing the commercial relationship with our OEM customers, ensuring their expectations are met regarding delivery, quality and technical support.   They will be expected to grow the OEM revenues by cultivating new customers and expanding the product offering to our existing customers, whilst actively managing the product life-cycle (including phase out of obsolete products) of the Reagents supplied to OEM customers.

Work Location:

Based from the Leica Newcastle site or remote home based, with multiple travel to the Newcastle site a month.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility/accountability for the global OEM business of all Staining reagents (IHC & Molecular)
  • Own the maintenance and growth of our OEM reagent product portfolio and customer base. 
  • Manage products throughout their lifecycle to ensure active products remain commercially viable, launch new products to the OEM customer base and perform orderly run-out of old or obsolete products
  • Drive direct B2B marketing activities to maximize product revenues and margins.
  • Develops product portfolio strategies including pricing, competition, market conditions, etc.
  • Leverage our Primary Antibody & Probe road map to build long term partnerships and expansion of each customer’s spend.
  • Act as the advocate for the OEM customers to ensure all customer service-related matters (supply lead-time, quality/complaint handling, invoicing etc.) are handled at an appropriate standard that encourages customers to continue to source their reagents from LBS.
  • Engage with the NCL and AMS Operations teams to facilitate on-time and in-spec order delivery.
  • Work with R&D on new product line extensions where a business case makes sense to do so.
  • Manage the custom OEM process from ideation and project management with key stake holder through to delivery. 

Job Requirements



  • Experience in Medical Diagnostics Sales and / or Marketing experience
  • Sales and/or Technical support management experience preferred
  • Innate commercial acumen of the Anatomic Pathology Diagnostics space preferred
  • Experience in Biomedical industry, Medical Device or Cancer Diagnostics industry preferred


  • Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in business or related discipline.
  • Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in science (Medical Science or Biology).

  • 10-20% travel involved across Northern America and Europe - outside of travel to Newcastle site.  Potential frequent travel during onboarding period.
