X-Rite, recognized as one of "West Michigan's Best & Brightest Companies to Work For" is seeking a Color Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Essential Job Functions: 
1. To ensure the proper production and quality of Munsell paint products for standard products and technical service work

2. To provide the technical and project information that needed by internal/external customers, sales, and customer service departments.

3. Maintain inventory levels of Supplies (colorants, raw materials, and supplies used in the color matching process)

4. Responsible of care and maintenance of equipment 

5. Job functions include but are not limited to those listed.  

Job Requirements



Qualifications


1. High school diploma or GED.  Education or experience in Graphic Design or Color Theory is preferred, not required.

2. 1-2 years of paint mixing experience is preferred.

3. Strong general math aptitude (multiplication, division, metric to imperial conversations).

4. Pass the Farnsworth Munsell Color Test with a score of 20 or less.

5. Basic functionality of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word programs).  

6. Ability to work with paint materials (specifically latex).

7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment meeting all production standards and times with a high attention to detail, accuracy and orderliness.

8. Communication skills, written and verbal amongst team members (including internal customers), should be excellent. 

9. Familiarity with use of precision instrumentation and measurement (example: weight per gallon instrumentation).

10. Ability to lift heavy objects: 25 pounds routinely, up to 70 pounds occasionally.

11. Ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the day.

12. Ability to perform the above-mentioned essential job requirements.
