Perform maintenance service and repairs of CNC machines and production equipment. Very knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty. Highly skilled in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Essential Duties:
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance (preventive maintenance) on all production and tooling machines, including support equipment, conforming to internal requirements and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Coordinate daily work order assignments for technicians as requested by the manager. 
  • Mentor, guide and oversee technician performing maintenance service and repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are recorded, organized, and complete.  Records must be readily available for reference or audit purposes.
  • Develop and maintain a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
  • Recommend purchase of necessary maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  • Organize and clean the maintenance shop area.
  • Observe all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety policies and take all precautions for own safety and that of others.
  • Act as mentor for less experienced Facilities Maintenance Technicians
  • Develop training plans for other technicians as needed.

Job Requirements


Education and/or Experience: 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.  
  • Requires 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining CNC machines and equipment run with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), pneumatics, hydraulic maintenance and electro-mechanical.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good record. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as operating procedures and general instructions, machine manuals, employee handbook, company policies, schematics, diagrams and departmental procedures in English required.
  • Certified machine training and/or electric, plumbing, or other areas of facilities trade desired
