Description

� Coordinate and develop marketing plans for Asia Pacific in conjunction with Business Centers and local budgets � Focus and Prioritize product lines in agreement with Business Centers, and assist with strategic development of key markets � Recommend marketing mix, including regional and national advertising, promotional campaigns, trade show, video production, and cooperative programs with dealers to develop and achieve corporate goals � Manage the marketing department�s resources to obtain maximum benefit through organization, training and leadership � Plan, initiate and direct market research to determine trends, industry needs, and customer preferences, to optimize product planning, to develop targeted markets, to recommend pricing policy and to assist in the development of yearly and long range business plans � Assist in establishing corporate marketing objectives and strategies Asia Pacific in conjunction with senior staff members � Assist in establishing, for each year, specific volume goals for each product line aimed at optimizing market share, and to assist in establishing reasonable Sales objectives with agreed margins � Work with the marketing communications function to promote company image � Coordinate company participation to trade shows, seminars and other such marketing and sales events � Organize marketing services to provide maximum assistance and support to field selling, Customer Service functions at the lowest reasonable cost � Assist Sales and Field Service Departments in development of training curricula for dealers and customers, and provide graphic, electronic media and literary support materials � Provide such specific market information as may be required from time to time by Sales or Customer Services relating to competitive products, services, prices, and methods of distribution � Monitor effectiveness of sales and after sales efforts in context of business plans and strategies, and recommend improvements where indicated

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of a relevant Bachelors degree and 10 years of experience, MBA preferred. They must have solid experience in marketing and good communication skills in English. Dealer management experience is an added advantage. This position also requires: � Maintains understanding of core areas of organization's technical competence and leverages this to grow the business � Stays current in own area of technical expertise (both general industry and company-specific) and utilize in own work � Effectively allocates resources (people and budgets) to achieve results � Oversees important tactical and strategic functions of the company � Typically manages a complex functional unit or business unit. Develops tactical and strategic technological goals to achieve overall business success � Seeks others within and outside the organization with diversity of experience to enhance mutual learning � Creates the environment for continuous learning to become part of the culture or values of the organization � Translates business strategy into long-range goals and objectives for an area consisting of several supervisors/managers or units � Reviews progress toward goals to ensure that ongoing work contributes to the business strategy � Works effectively with others within and across the business unit, providing feedback and helping their development � Assesses management talent to fill future leadership roles � Recognizes, respects and leverages the unique talents of all team members � Develops customer relations and decision-making strategies based on an understanding of the market and the company's role in the global marketplace � Good presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills � Excellent English skills in speaking, reading and writing
