Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:
In this key sales role, the Sales Specialist North of Germany and Netherlands for Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) will be responsible to achieve sales goals and maintain and further develop the customer relationship in the region North of Germany and the Netherlands.
  • Taking a consultative sales approach, the Sales Specialist will compete for all existing sales opportunities and develop new business within the territory to meet or exceed target.
  • Responsibilities will include lead generation, enquiry follow up, prospecting for new business, initiating and organising demonstrations, producing sales forecasts and territory planning.
  • This will involve managing a significant number of large bio-pharmaceutical, academic and industrial key accounts to build and maintain long term relationships.
  • To achieve these objectives, the Specialist will use and involve internal resources and stakeholders early in the sales process and in the most efficient way.

During the course of daily responsibilities, the Specialist will gather information from the field and deliver it to Marketing to allow the Company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the market.


Job Requirements


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Science. Completion of additional college level courses in sales and/or marketing is preferred.
  • Successful experience of capital equipment sales in the Life Sciences Market is essential 
  • Knowledge of analytical equipment such as Capillary Electrophoresis/HPLC/Mass Spectrometry would be an advantage 
  • Fluent in English and German is required.
  • Large/Key Account Management experience is an advantage
  • Understands competitive landscape and can influence customer buying decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative; willingness to take ownership for results.
  • Strong influencing and partnering skills; reach out and operate as a team player, both internally and externally.

Based in the North of Germany
  • Full driving license
