The CAM Development Engineer works closely with the Product, and Process Development Engineers, and other departments, on integrating and developing automation for CAD/CAM production line, software, and automated manufacturing equipment. The engineer works with various software environments and develops solutions that are both robust under heavy load conditions and highly flexible. He/She works in the medical / dental technology domain and participates in different projects according to the needs of the company and in collaboration with co-workers and supervisor. His/her broad education and experience allows him/her to act as 3’rd line technical support leader to the CAM Operators, and production.

  • Develop new CAM-automation processes; maintain and update existing processes, keeping them current and as efficient as possible
  • Collaborate with team to find best solutions in CAM-automation.
  • Provide regular written and verbal status progress reports and project updates; communicate next steps to management as required.
  • Actively participate in the development and roll-out of new systems worldwide.
  • Support production operations, quickly respond to production issues, conduct root cause analysis, define temporary work-arounds, develop and implement long-term solutions.
  • Training and education of CAM operators in production 
  • Work lean and adhere to the Danaher business system.
  • Document work and development thru different document type according to company standards.
  • Packaging and version control of CAM software, securing proper hand-over to Production. 

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor of Science with a major in engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in 5-Axis CAM development and process automation development of at least 3 years.
  • High Knowledge in PowerMILL, PowerSHAPE (Delcam/AutoDesk) and Knowledge of milling and turning industries, eg. develop cutting data, develop/find milling tool is must . 
Preferred Skills :

  • Knowledge in HyperMILL, HyperCAD (OpenMind)
  • Deep understanding of CAM automation and industrial solutions.
  • Knowledge in C#, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge in 5-axis CNC controller ei.: Fanuc, Roeders, Heidenhain (desired).
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Must be willing to work overtime depending on business demands. 
  • Must be willing to travel internationally (up to 25%) depending on corporate business demands.

  • Experience in high precision production of machined components using 5-Axis milling machinery and part / fixture handling
  • JavaScript and C#
  • Team player with both co-workers and the supervisor
  • Trouble shoot, Root cause analysis
  • Ability to analyze and discern to identify issues related to CAM integration and recommend/implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines set by the supervisor
  • Documented experience of CAD engineering
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Delcam / Autodesk softwares
  • Experience and knowledge in manufacturing automation processes.
