Description

The CAM Operator will prepare CAM programs for individualized dental prosthetic products that includes, but not limited to, crowns, bridges, Procera Implant Bridges, overdenture bars, abutments, surgical templates.  Will utilize several CAD/CAM software packages, such as Powermill, Hypermill, and Magics.  Operators will be required to visually inspect all incoming files for products to be produced to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.

  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare all CAM files for all Nobel Biocare product lines.
  • Receive and inspect all incoming orders to ensure the product design constraints are not violated.
  • Make Design modifications, as approved by QA and customer requests for all overdenture bars that do not meet design constraints.
  • Communicate with Customer Service to resolve customer issues.
  • Follow Manager’s verbal and written instructions.
  • Support the milling operation for all products on 5-axis milling machines.
  • Register customer re-make files via SAP
  • Monitor the order management SAP inbox and manufacturing (PIC) report.
  • Act as troubleshooter on 1st level CAM issues as related to manufacturing.
  • Work in conjunction with manufacturing engineers, Group Managers and Team Leads on solving problems in production as well as continuous improvement of workflow and procedures.
  • Work as part of a team to improve manufacturing processes through Kaizen.
  • Qualify all products produced according to Quality and Product Specifications/Requirements 
  • Maintain safety policies and procedures, including 5S initiatives and housekeeping 
  • Attend and participate in Daily Management / Safety Committees / Training as required

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent of 2 years of work experience
  • Proficient with PC-standard software (MS-Office).  
  • Must be fluent in English, other preferred additional languages: French, Swedish, Japanese, German.
  • Must be willing to work in shifts including weekends when required
  • Must be willing to work overtime depending on business demands.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours during work time 
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Certificate courses on CNC-Programming and/or CAD/CAM preferred.
  • Minimum two or more years of CNC machining experience on milling machines controlled by Fanuc, Heidenhain, and Roeders preferred.
  • Experience in high precision production (die making), pharmaceutical production, medical device, aerospace, automotive or regulated industry preferred.
  • Basic knowledge in programming code (Fanuc and/or Heidenhain) and CAD/CAM (Open Mind, Delcam) preferred. 
  • Basic knowledge of SAP preferred.
