The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong understanding of demand generation thru development and execution of marketing campaigns, successful product launches, and creation of sales training collateral.  In addition, they will be able to interface seamlessly across multiple functional areas in Sales, Marketing, and Global Product Management to drive results in North America.


Major Responsibilities 
  • Accountable for development and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns supporting the Advanced Staining and Imaging businesses in both the Clinical and Life Science segments.
  • Drive demand generation of qualified leads that translate to revenue.
  • Grow market visibility and improve brand awareness thru targeted marketing campaign tactical execution
  • Analyze marketing programs effectiveness and adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness. 
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement global content and campaigns
  • Coordinate customer symposiums and user group meetings to drive customer retention. 
  • Serve as a brand ambassador to align to and strengthen the Leica Biosystems brand
  • Develop effective KOL strategy for company, recruit KOL’s for activities, execute agreements with KOL’s and track ROI on all KOL initiatives, correcting course as appropriate
  • Oversee execution of promotional activities including print, electronic/social media, trade show, direct mail, web content, digital marketing, educational binders, industry news and signage.
  • Communicate with outside agencies and suppliers regarding ongoing campaigns, including negotiating pricing and/or contract terms. 
  • Maintain customer databases and approve the use of internal and external mailing lists.
  • Manage expense budgets related to marketing campaigns, communication vehicles, marketing sponsored educational events, and tradeshows. 
  • Help establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events. 
  • Ensure compliance with product claim regulations, audits, and reporting.
  • Drive creation of competitive differentiated positioning based on deep understanding of customers
  • New Product Launches
  • Work with Global Product Management to create go-to-market communication strategies related to new product launches tailored to the North American market
  • Execute marketing plans for new product launches to increase market share in key customer segments

Sales Support
  • Manage the development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs. 
  • Support Sales Leader in Mid-Year meeting deployment
  • Plan and conduct market research (VOC) to identify opportunities for increased sales and enhance the customer experience including (but not limited to) voice of customer analysis, value proposition, promotional preferences, and market communication channels
  • Make effective marketing presentations at sales meetings, before clinicians, etc. 

Reporting
  • Establish and monitor metrics to ensure marketing strategies, programs, and activities are executed effectively and delivering impact
  • Implement standard work and communications to maintain global and regional marketing team alignment.
  • Establishes methods and metrics to track key performance indicators, including market share and market penetration
  • Provide post-event reports, ROI analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Skills

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in development and implementation of marketing campaigns 
  • Experience in Salesforce.com

Desired Education, Experience, Skills

Education:  Masters Degree

Experience/Skills:
  • Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives. 
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, along with lead nurturing software such as HubSpot. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in the diagnostics or life sciences industries a plus

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 30% of time 

Language:  English
