Description

Job Overview
Provides product and technical service support within budgetary and resource constraints with the objective of achieving results for Sales and Technical Support in accordance with set targets and product lines

Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Provide technical support including installation, commissioning and training to local customers and distribution network in order to fulfill customers' after sales needs

SALES SUPPORT
Ensure a current technical and application knowledge of the product range is maintained and easily accessible in order to proficiently assist field sales staff and distributors in product presentation and demonstration as well as participating in tenders

PRODUCT PRESENTATION, DEMONSTRATION AND TRAINING
Lead / plan and organize presentation / demonstration and training on a regular basis with tabulated schedule in order to effectively support the sales function

PRODUCT TRAINING
Provide Software / Hardware training to customers and distributors in order to ensure competency in handling our product

TRAINING STRATEGY
Formulate training materials to ensure in-depth knowledge and understanding of products and strive for continuous improvement through collecting feedback after each training in order to effectively pass on knowledge

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Contribute and provide market intelligence and consolidate information in order to help maximize customer exposure to the product

SALES AND MARKETING INFORMATION
Ensure thorough knowledge of customer installation base and maintain complete customer records by customer classification and market segmentation in order to achieve sales and technical support objectives 

OTHERS
Compliance to regulatory, international and company’s  EHS requirement

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent with 2 years of experience in related field(Science degree with postgraduate business qualifications)
  • Research and imaging experience would be a benefit
  • Presentation skill
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong knowledge about fluorescence applications and confocal microscopy would be a benefit
  • Self-motivated, self-organized, and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Travelling at least 30%
  • Based in the Melbourne area would be preffered
