Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Description

This position is responsible for enabling strategic initiatives across key product lines, target applications and accounts with the main focus on EZ-Series analyzers. As the Sales liaiason to the Business Unit, Product Development and Marketing / Commercial teams, this position provides ing customer and industry insight related to product/application needs and industrial market trends. Provides detailed technical/product application consulting that addresses the most critical business and operational needs for Hach’s customers in the industries. This position reports directly to the Global Senior Sales Manager NA&EU EZ-Series Instruments.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Functions as the recognized applicational expert in the targeted industrial markets and associated liquid monitoring applications.
  • Maintains a high level of expertise in all areas of applications and associated products within the targeted industrial markets.
  • Works closely with Key Account Mangers and front-line sales associates to consult with and educate key customers.
  • Works closely with customers to solve complex treatment/monitoring problems delivering efficiencies, optimization and cost savings that address the customer’s primary business/operational needs.
  • Provides key market insight to internal sales, marketing, and business unit groups to facilitate development of strategic business and marketing plans.  Also provides voice-of-customer and application insight to product planning and development teams.
  • Leads field activities for complex application evaluations and Hach/AppliTek solution trials and takes leadership role in sharing success stories across the industry and Key Accounts.
  • Supports business unit and product development teams on Beta trials and provides voice of customer insight.
  • Collects and develops information to support and develop sales tools (value sell documents, application notes, quick reference documents, competitive analysis, etc.).
  • Provides presentation leadership at Hach/AppliTek sponsored seminars, and national industry sponsored seminars and conferences.
  • Delivers or supports training programs on an assigned basis.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • BA, BS, MS degree or equivalent experience required. A degree in a science related field such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent is preferred.   
  • 5 years of technical applications experience in similar products and services required. 
  • Work experience or equivalent education in chemical, industrial water, wastewater, or water treatment facility operations preferred.
  • Direct customer commercial/sales experience is preferred.     
  • Must have good computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.)
  • Demonstrates exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.  Requires proven ability to speak before groups.
  • Must exhibit the willingness and ability to assimilate technical information quickly.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% 
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver license and a driving record which is acceptable to Hach Company.
