Description

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: 




•         Prepares proposals for capital projects by working with internal technical staff, customers, and sales and marketing staff.




•         Reviews Aquafine and customer technical specifications and engineering packages and recommends appropriate technical solutions and/or equipment based on the unique application and the various components of the water treatment system




  • Creates and develops comprehensive databases of key projects, competitor data and equipment, ultraviolet applications information, water treatment system knowledge, and sizing formulas and strategies.



  • Works with marketing staff to prepare training packages, technical presentations, applications briefs, and technical articles for publication and presentation at technical conferences.



  • Develops and expands programs for the integration of pilot data from TOC, ozone, chlorine and disinfections applications with Aquafine software sizing programs.



  • Learns existing UV product line in function, design, and performance.  Performs technical and comparative economic analyses of competing technologies in order to support sales and marketing efforts.



  • Assists in technical requests, technical review of customer specifications, tracking alternate “concepts” of advanced new technology, and provide guidance to engineering for technology opportunities.



  • Attends trade shows and industry seminars from time to time.  Domestic and international travel may be required from time to time.  Maintains membership in relevant professional and industry organizations.



  • Perform customer visits along with RSM’s as required.



  • Prepare and deliver technical training, presentations and seminars about the UV technology, product portfolio and applications as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


 


The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual need in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.



EDUCATION:



            BS degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil Engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.  Relevant coursework in hydraulic engineering, pure water and wastewater treatment technologies is required. Relevant coursework in electronics, programming, PLC integration is preferred.


 


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:


 


A minimum of 2 years work experience is required in the areas Ultraviolet technology, ultra-pure water purification and oxidation technology, drinking water, water/waste water treatment,  including AOP technologies, microbiological aspects of fluids, and organic/inorganic chemistry aspects of water. Work experience will also include demonstrated skills in the area of system sizing, proposal generation, bid preparation and project execution. Experience in water applications in the Beverage, pharmaceutical and Micro electronics industries.


Experience with Sales Force.com



Strong aptitude of basic water treatment technologies and process design is required along with the ability to read, analyze and interpret mechanical, electrical and P&ID drawings.



Proficiency in electronics, controls and system integration is preferred along with knowledge in programming such as SQL, Excel VBA and web-based application development.


 


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Good listening and troubleshooting skills.  Capability to read and write in English is a plus.


 


Must be organized and detail oriented.  Good technical/chemical aptitude is a must for this position.  Availability outside of normal working hours to handle customer emergency quotation and technical support issues is also required.



From time to time this position may be called upon to provide technical troubleshooting assistance to customers over the phone and will require interaction with customer service and technical service groups to close out solutions provided to those customers.
