Main Responsibilities:
 
  • Conducting biochemical and microbiological testing in accordance with appropriate procedures on Raw Material, In- Process, Final Product and Real Time Stability samples, as required.
  • Reviewing, verifying and releasing raw materials and in process reagents, as required.
  • Review and verification of final product and real time stability testing records, as required.
  • Generation of certificates of analysis.
  • Maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Identification of non-conformances and appropriate follow up on out of specification results, generation and completion of out of specification reports, as appropriate.
  • Ordering of laboratory materials to ensure adequate supplies and consumables available at all times.
  • Involvement in the development of processes for validation studies, testing and compilation of validation test data.
  • Involvement in scheduling of test and data analysis and review and approval of validation documentation.
  • Involved in writing, reviewing and approving Standard Operating Procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Assuring all activities carried out as per company safety requirements.
  • Assisting in housekeeping activities including categorisation and disposal of test laboratory waste.
  • Training other biochemists in test methods and operation and maintenance of associated instrumentation.
  • Involvement in team activity to support a programme of continuous process improvement initiatives.
Any other reasonable duties as prescribed by Manager/ Supervisor

Job Requirements



Qualifications


Education/ Experience
A Third level qualification in a Science/Engineering discipline.
A minimum of two years’ experience, in the Diagnostic Reagents Industry is desirable.
A good knowledge of GMP, ISO/FDA requirements and computer literacy is required.
