The Analyst I Procurement is responsible for driving supplier management process improvements and simplifications to Best in Class, while driving the negotiating and purchasing and compliance of such for all materials, equipment, and services from suppliers as well as managing discrepant material returns back to the supplier and consider the expected material returns for inventory planning. Evaluates Supplier quotations for materials, and awards contracts and/or purchase orders. Utilizes proper resources and knowledge to plan for and accomplish all tasks inclusive of the support and management of lean manufacturing methods.

• Analyzes output of Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Purchases goods and services and considers all sources of inventory availability to ensure an adequate supply of material to support the company’s objectives. 
• Possesses the skills necessary to drive Best in Class lean process improvements and simplifications such as  kanban, inventory management, blanket purchase order management while serving as Materials representative for Operations, 
• Maintains a good corporate image by conducting purchasing activities upon a solid foundation of honesty, integrity, and fairness. 
• Executes the materials requirements plan to ensure a steady flow of material to support manufacturing while driving continuing to minimize the asset investment while maximizing material availability to meet manufacturing plans on time. Specific duties include: analyzing material requirements; developing and implementing procurement strategies in total support of lean manufacturing operations; schedule requirements to the suppliers in support of lean manufacturing with on time deliveries; issue purchase orders and manage auto releases processes. Supporting the Vendor MRB process where needed.
• Analyzes purchase requisitions; reviews each item for quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements. Develops and investigates sources of supply; issues request for quotation when applicable. Develops alternate sources if commodity is unavailable or when more economical products might be satisfactory. 
• Prepares information required to process and issue purchase orders.  

Job Requirements


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited school
• Sound working knowledge of Oracle Procurement workflows
• Familiar with Lean Six Sigma philosophies/ practices- 

• Kan-Ban Processes

• Work Flow Diagrams/Value Stream Maps

• Kaizen facilitation
• Experience negotiating purchase contracts.
• Intermediate-advanced Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio). 
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, prepare formal reports of findings and provide decision support based on data. 
• Comfortable in presenting information/ proposals to groups using Microsoft PowerPoint and ensuring message is understood by target audience. 
• Ability to align processes/ programs to support the BCI operating plan, enabling superior quality and internal/ external customer value. 
• Excellent project management skills- ability to complete projects expeditiously with minimal supervision. 
• Knowledge of FDA requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA preferred but not mandatory.  
• APICS/ ISM certification preferred - CPIM, CSCP, CPM or equivalent designation.
