Description

Position Summary
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable team while driving improvements in the payment process. 
  • Maintain Standard Work documents and act as a key liaison between finance, purchasing and outside vendors. 
Accountabilities
  • Supervise and lead AP team including hiring and performance management
  • Develop, improve and document AP procedures
  • Train AP personnel on system and procedures
  • Drive DPO (Working Capital) improvements
  • Oversee AP Team Daily Management to drive team efficiency and improvements
  • Assist AP Team to resolve discrepancies on invoices as needed
  • Ensures all AP transactions are processed accurately and on a timely basis
  • Maintains vendor master file and completes routine audits on vendor master file changes
  • Maintain SOX controls for the AP department
  • Assists with month-end reconciliation work
  • Act as key liaison on AP issues for internal customers, auditors & outside vendors
  • Assists others in Finance as required (e.g. Tax, Financial Reporting, etc.)

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business - Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable Experience
  • Detail-oriented, and effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS-Office products, including Excel, Word and E-mail.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset
  • Proven track record of successful leadership required
