Description

JOB SUMMARY: Provide support to the Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable Manager & Accounting Manager for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable department functions. Specific responsibilities include limited supervision of teams in standardized processes and practices while collecting, preparing, and analyzing spend and other financial information. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Oversee the AP team’s daily functions and offer assistance when needed.
  2. Assist and lead projects with AR/AP Manager and Accounting Manager.
  3. Participate in month-end activities which include the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and audits for both AR and AP and other tasks as assigned. 
  4. Prepares key management reports emphasizing on historical results, allowances, and spending trends. 
  5. Drive weekly and monthly Implant Direct spend accountability.
  6. Interface with Senior Management and Department Managers to minimize spend.
  7. Company credit card, Sunshine Act, and fleet management tracking and reporting.
  8. Assist management with SOX compliance tasks, as needed.
  9. Maintain financial security and confidentiality by following internal controls and state and federal laws.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates Degree and five (5) years' experience in accounting, accounts payable, and/or accounting/financial analysis or 
  • Bachelors Degree and three (3) years' experience in accounting, accounts payable, and/or accounting/financial analysis
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of Accounting, reconciliations and month-end processes
  • Two (2) years lead or supervisory experience
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including lookup functions and pivot table
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
  • Ability to compute basic math calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
  • Excellent written, verbal, active listening and phone communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in spend analysis
  • Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment
  • Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
  • Experience working in a multi system environment
