Description

Manages major non-technical development and operations projects, including design, scheduling, resource management and costing. Leads, coordinates and/or facilitates cross functional non-technical teams to achieve project goals in support of the company’s goals and annual operating plan. Tracks, communicates and reports on the issues and status updates for projects. Identifies opportunities to grow customer relationship through new projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Primary point of contact to both the customer and the prime contractor on the account
• Responsible for managing program, generating and maintaining metrics to track program health
• Lead efforts to analyze current program operations and make recommendations for improvement and coordinate the decision-making process
• Facilitate information flow between team members, the project leader, senior management and the customer - Responsible for establishing and developing cross functional teams to support customer issues as they arise - Organize and lead bi-weekly meetings with the customer and prime contractor
• Provide on-going support of daily and weekly program activities
• Lead efforts to grow customer relationship through responding to relevant RFIs/RFPs and creating growth opportunities from current projects

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Education or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR
• Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR
• Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years of work experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• The ideal candidate must have demonstrated ability to manage a cross functional program in a fast-paced technical environment
• Ability to manage by influence is required
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Federal Government preferred
• Experience working in the Biotech industry strongly preferred
